Management

Kelly C. Hanczyk - President, Chief Executive Officer and a Trustee

Kelly C. Hanczyk is a resident of Toronto, Ontario. He is currently the President, Chief Executive Officer and a trustee of Edgefront Real Estate Investment Trust. Previously he was the Chief Executive Officer and a trustee of TransGlobe Apartment Real Estate Investment Trust (a TSX listed real estate investment trust) overseeing its growth from its Initial Public Offering to over $1 billion in market capitalization. Mr. Hanczyk was also the Chief Executive Officer of TransGlobe Investment Management Ltd. (a real estate management company) from November 2009 to September 2011 and prior to his appointment as Chief Executive Officer, he held the positions of Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President of Asset Management within the TransGlobe group of companies. From September 2006 to October 2007, Mr. Hanczyk was the Vice President of Asset Management for Whiterock Real Estate Investment Trust (a TSX listed real estate investment trust). Prior to that, he was the Director of Operations and Leasing for Summit Real Estate Investment Trust (another TSX listed real estate investment trust). Mr. Hanczyk has extensive experience in all disciplines of commercial and residential real estate including corporate strategy, leasing, development, acquisitions and dispositions, financing, property management and asset management. He obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Acadia University.

Robert P. Chiasson – Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary

Robert P. Chiasson is a resident of Mississauga, Ontario. Prior to being appointed to his current position as Chief Financial Officer and Secretary of the REIT, he was the Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary of Edgefront Realty Corp., a predecessor to the REIT, from July 2012 to January 2014, and has 18 years of experience in corporate financial management. He is also the [Chief Financial Officer and a director of the general partner of Edgefront Realty Advisors, the manager of the REIT. Mr. Chiasson was previously the Director of Finance of The Associated Tube Group, a division of Samuel, Son & Co., Limited (a diversified private company). Prior to his appointment as Director of Finance, he held the position of Director of Corporate Accounting for Samuel Manu-Tech, Inc. (a TSX listed company with operations in packaging and metal processing, which was amalgamated with Samuel, Son & Co., Limited in 2010). From December 2006 to April 2008, Mr. Chiasson was the Corporate Controller of InStorage Real Estate Investment Trust (a TSX listed real estate investment trust). From August 2005 to November 2006, Mr. Chiasson was the Director of Financial Reporting for Vincor International Inc. (a TSX listed wine company). Mr. Chiasson obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Wilfrid Laurier University in 1998, and obtained his Chartered Accountant designation in 2001.

Cody Church – Chairman and Trustee

Cody Church is a resident of Calgary, Alberta. Cody Church co-founded the TriWest Group in 1998 and, as a Senior Managing Director, contributes a broad spectrum of financial, structuring, and deal execution experience to the TriWest Group. From 1995 to 1997, Mr. Church was with EXOR America, a New York-based private equity firm. Prior to joining EXOR, Mr. Church was a member of the Leveraged Finance Group of Credit Suisse First Boston where he worked with financial buyers in areas of acquisition and divestiture, high-yield bonds, IPOs and re-financings. Mr. Church obtained a Bachelor of Economics (cum laude) from Harvard University. Mr. Church was recognized as one of Canada’s “Top 40 Under 40” in 2010.

Mario Forgione – Lead Trustee

Mario Forgione is a resident of Oakville, Ontario. Mario Forgione has been the President of Edgemere Capital Ltd. for 19 years. Edgemere Capital is a private company specializing in land development, re-development and acquisition, real estate ownership and management and commodities and securities trading. In addition, Mr. Forgione was the Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Depco International Inc. (a private auto parts manufacturer that had $200 million in annual revenues and 800 employees) from 1993 to 2006 and President and Owner of the Mississauga Ice Dogs Hockey Club from 2003 to 2006.

Ted Manziaris – Trustee

Theodore “Ted” Manziaris, a resident of Toronto, Ontario, was the President and Co-Founder of Turtle Island Recycling Corporation from 1991 to 2011. Turtle Island Recycling was a $100 million company with more than 450 employees. The company was sold in December 2011 to GFL Environmental Corporation (an environmental services company), where Mr. Manziaris has continued on in the capacity of Vice President, Business Development. Mr. Manziaris has extensive experience in all disciplines of business operations, including financing, acquisitions and dispositions. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Western Ontario and an Honorary Doctorate of Law from Assumption University of Windsor Ontario. In the spring of 2012, he was presented with the prestigious Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal from the Governor General for his many contributions to his many philanthropic endeavors.

Brian Felesky CM, QC – Trustee

Brian Felesky is a resident of Calgary, Alberta. Mr. Church is the past Vice-Chairman, Investment Banking (Canada), Credit Suisse. He was a founding partner of Felesky Flynn LP where he specialized in corporate tax law. Mr. Felesky is currently a Director of Cequence Energy Ltd, Director of Si Systems Ltd, Chairman of the Advisory Board of Aspen Properties and a Senior Advisor to Enerdynamic Hybrid Technologies. He is a past Director of Suncor Energy Ltd, Precision Drilling Ltd, Capital Power LP (TransCanada Power) and others. He is on the Board of the Calgary Stampede Foundation and also a member of the Order of Canada and a Queen’s Counsel having received an Honourary Doctor of Laws from the University of Calgary.

Brad Cutsey – Trustee and Audit Committee Chair

Brad Cutsey is a resident of Mississauga, Ontario. Mr. Cutsey is the President of InterRent REIT. He previously held the position of Managing Director and Head of Real Estate Investment Banking with Dundee Capital Markets, and prior to that held the position of Vice President, Senior Equities Analyst - Real Estate. Mr. Cutsey is a graduate of Bishop's University's Bachelor of Business Program,and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Lorne Jacobson – Trustee

Lorne Jacobson co-founded the TriWest Group in 1998, and, as Senior Managing Director, contributes a wealth of knowledge in the areas of corporate development and law. From 1994 to 1998 he served as Vice President, Corporate Development and General Counsel of Burns Foods Limited. He was responsible for a variety of corporate acquisitions, divestitures and financings as part of the management team for this leading Canadian food company. Prior to Burns Foods, Mr. Jacobson was a partner in the Calgary office of the national law firm of Bennett Jones where he specialized in corporate and securities law. Mr. Jacobson serves as a director or officer on a number of public and private companies and charitable organizations.
